Weathered brick walls and a curved roof, though worn by the passage of time, held within them the essence of generations past, where OKKIO left our first indelible mark. This location served as our creative crucible, shaping the unique design language that defines OKKIO today. It was the beginning of the standards we continue to uphold and cherish in each subsequent endeavor. Wherever we venture, those foundational principles remain sacrosanct. We are not merely renovators but custodians of history and architects of character. Our approach is not to replace but to reveal, to uncover the essence that is already present in each space. We seek to harmonize the contrasts between the old and the new, the raw and the refined, meticulously balancing these elements to create a symphony of memories. In this delicate dance, colors evoke the nostalgia of yesteryears, with a warm, romantic palette reminiscent of the rich brown hues of the earth and the deep, satisfying shades of ripe coffee beans. THE HARMONY BETWEEN OLD AND NEW

OKKIO Thao Dien is a captivating emotional journey, unfolding at the heart of the eastern part of the city in Thảo Điền. As you draw near, the façade greets you with steel-framed windows, reminiscent of train carriages, beckoning you to embark on a unique voyage through time and space. The colors at OKKIO Thao Dien are a symphony of emotion. lightings create a vibrant ambiance, casting shades of green on the walls, while the hues on the table legs subtly shift, adding a touch of sophistication. What might seem like an impossible amalgamation of colors in the same space surprisingly results in a cozy, romantic atmosphere. Traditional materials are seamlessly woven into the design language, including patterned tiles, pillar walls, vintage bricks, and delicate curtains. Amidst the modernity, a hint of classic charm is retained, encapsulating the unique design language and spirit of OKKIO. In 2020, OKKIO Thao Dien achieved a significant milestone, being honored with the Restaurants & Bars Award for Best Design-2020 by Vietcetera, further enriching our journey.

Duy Tan artfully captures the essence of observation and introspection, akin to a detached onlooker between the old and the new, the remnants of history and the almost-forgotten. This perspective is vividly portrayed in the intersections of elements, where the boundary between the French's historical villa and the newly constructed apartment complex behind becomes apparent. It's revealed in the juxtaposition of the weathered, colorful gray brick walls adjacent to freshly painted white ones, and in the raw zinc-coated steel replacing old window and door frames, and balcony railings. While the exterior strongly echoes the architectural aesthetics of Cochinchina with its clay tile roofing, house structure, and its charming location in a quaint alleyway amidst the nostalgic streets, the interior is adorned with Bauhaus design elements, evident in the black or red leather chairs. The prominent brass bar counter occupies a considerable space on the ground floor of the house, guiding the way to the second floor, which opens up to a new, refreshing space. Here, natural materials such as concrete floors and wall bases complement the high glass ceilings to create an open, airy ambiance.

Freedom is the essence that OKKIO Tự Do embraces in its design. Situated within the complex of an old and historical apartment building on Dong Khoi Street, once known as Catina - Tự Do, the entrance entices with an artistic play of suspended aluminum bars that resemble a veiled curtain. The store appears and disappears like a fleeting vision. As you traverse the arched entrance, it opens into an airy space, featuring an unfinished, high, and unadorned ceiling that reveals the sturdy aging beams above. The stainless steel bar counter stands prominently in the center, harmonizing with the rhythmic sounds of coffee grinders, the warm hiss of steaming milk, and the daily ritual of coffee brewing. The floor, a mosaic of polished concrete blended with scattered coffee grounds, exudes a familiar and cozy palette, while the balcony offers an unobstructed view of the Municipal Theatre, allowing patrons to savor their coffee while taking in the bustling sights of Dong Khoi Street.

OKKIO Phu My Hung weaves its tale through two distinct settings: one nestled indoors and the other under the open sky. A harmonious theme of vibrant red runs throughout this establishment, crafting a design concept that welcomes you with the warmth of a friendly roundabout. The open layout is thoughtfully designed to create an inviting ambiance, perfect for both relaxed conversations and productive workdays. As you immerse yourself in this space, you'll find a tranquil and comfortable haven to savor, offering a delightful sense of ease and relaxation. What sets OKKIO Phu My Hung apart is the first in the chain to offer All-day Dining, operating from 9 AM to 7 PM daily.
